Top 5 Chicago Charter Bus Destinations
#1. Millennium Park
Millennium Park is at the heart of Chicago. They have it all on this sprawling green space, including the infamous Cloud Gate. Also called “The Bean” because it looks like a gigantic bean shaped mirror. The tourist attraction draws 4.75 million visitors every year.
Right next to the Bean is the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Watch a concert or join in for a yoga workout in the park.
Also to the south of Millennium Park is the famous Art Institute of Chicago. The iconic bronze lions still guard the Institute’s treasure trove of artwork.
#2. Willis-Sears Tower or Hancock Observatory
Whether you go to the Willis or Hancock Observatory, you will enjoy some of the best aerial views of the city.
Both observatories have ledges where you look directly down about a mile to the street. On a bright day, you can see as far as Indiana or Wisconsin depending upon your vantage point.
#3. Museum Campus
Many charter trips to Chicago include one of the many museums. To hit a few museums in one day, visit the Museum campus.
There you will find the Field Museum of Nature, Adler Planetarium, and Shed Aquarium within walking distance to each other.
All three take you to a world of imagination your group will enjoy.
Farther south in Hyde Park is the Museum of Science & Industry. While not part of museum campus, this is a fantastic place to visit if your charter is for kids.
#4. Navy Pier
What trip to Chicago would be complete without a visit to Navy Pier? Navy Pier has shops, artwork, and games. They even have the famous, newly redesigned wheels. Walk the promenade or schedule a boat tour for your group.
Finally, if you are there Wednesday or Saturday night during the spring or summer, stay late enough to see the fireworks.
#5. Lincoln Park Zoo
One of the best zoos in the United States is also one of the last free zoos in the US. The Lincoln Park Zoo has over 1,000 animals, including lions, tigers, and bears.
Don’t forget to watch the seals and penguins swim the polar waters, or let the kids go to the petting zoo.
The fact that the zoo is in the middle of idyllic Lincoln Park and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum makes it even more enjoyable.
