COVID-19 Update

The COVID-19 pandemic situation has truly affected each and every one of us. We at Chicago Motor Coach, Inc. would like to wish you, our valued customers, good health and safety during these trying times. For those who have lost loved ones, we would also like to send our deepest condolences.

As a transport company, we recognize that our responsibility and number 1 priority should always be the safety and health of our employees and our customers. In light of this pandemic, we would like to share with you updates on the state of our business and its operations and what we are doing as a company to protect the welfare of our customers.

As the city of Chicago, the state of Illinois, and the federal government works to respond to the outbreak, we continue to work with the authorities and follow the strict guidelines set by various organizations, including the CDC and the Health Department.

Charter busesCMC buses remain in the CMC compound and are not moving at the moment since the government has forbidden any gathering of people. They remain on standby and are ready to start moving anytime the restrictions are lifted. At the event that these restrictions are lifted, we have implemented the following:

  • All CMC buses are sanitized regularly according to guidelines set by the CDC. We wash and wipe down all handrails, seats, doors, and bus interiors with disinfectants daily.
  • Bus drivers have been provided with hand sanitizers and face masks. They will also be wearing medical gloves, not only to protect themselves, but also to prevent the spread of any virus.
  • For any event, we have implemented strict limitations in the number of people that we can accommodate inside our buses. This is to ensure that we adhere to the government’s guidelines on social gatherings and social distancing.
  • Disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizers, and disinfectants have been distributed around our offices and our compound. This is to ensure that all door knobs, doorways, handrails, and other areas can be disinfected regularly.
  • Hand sanitizers will also be made available to passengers.

We would also like to announce that none of the CMC employees have tested positive for COVID-19. While the management is happy with the results of the test, we would also like to continue implementing these strict guidelines to make sure our staff and our valued customers remain COVID-19-free.
